Chapter 32

As Drake is sleeping Raphael is torturing a human when someone calls him. He opens the door to the guarded room with hatred in his eyes, “Why are you interrupting me when I’m having fun?”

The Destroyer takes a step back, “Milord, we couldn’t capture the hybrid, but we did manage to capture this woman who was sharing his bed. We know her name is Miranda and she’s a feisty one. She keeps saying that someone named Drake will come and save her from us. That he will beat the shit out of us when he gets here.”

Raphael’s face lights up in glee, “Want to see something good? Follow me.” Then he walks down the hall to the room he can hear the woman’s screams coming from.

Miranda is fighting the two idiots holding her in place, screaming and thrashing around, until she notices a tall, tanned man with a muscular body, yellow eyes and blond hair heading her way. She immediately calms down and tries to give her best impression as he approaches. He stops in front of her, grabs her hand and kisses the back of it before asking, “Milady, is something wrong?”

Miranda turns on the charm, “You can call me Miranda and yes there is something wrong. Can you explain to me why I was captured and brought here?”

“Well Miranda, my name is Raphael and the situation is that Drake called us so we could save you from an attack on the place you were staying. He wanted to keep you safe and out of harm’s way.”

Miranda smiles at the thought of Drake worrying about her and wanting to keep her safe. “Oh, I didn’t know that it was Drake who asked your people to get me to safety. I was wrong and I apologize. So when will Drake be coming to see me?”

Raphael gives her a charming smile, “He’s already here. I was coming to look for you so I could take you to see him. If you will follow me I will take you to him now.” He offers Miranda his arm, which she willingly accepts, and allows him to lead her from the room. She doesn’t notice Raphael motion for two of the guards to follow at a distance.

Raphael stops in front of a door and opens it before stepping back and motioning for her to enter ahead of him. Miranda enters the room, with Raphael not far behind her, looks around and says, “So where is he?”

Raphael, with an evil look in his eyes, grins, “That’s what you’re going to tell me bitch”, and he snaps his fingers. The two guards that were following them appear on either side of Miranda and grab her by the arms. “Restrain her to the chair.”

As the guards grab her and are taking her to the chair she’s thrashing, cursing and yelling at them all.

“Shut her up. Her voice is annoying and getting on my nerves.”

The guards tie her to the chair and gag her. Her eyes fill
